Ingredients
- 200 g kimchi
- 200 g spam
- 3 hot dogs
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles
- 2 slices cheese
- 150 g tofu
- 1 tbsp gochugaru
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 stalks scallions
- 800 ml chicken broth
- 100 g baked beans
Steps
- Slice the spam into rectangles, cut hot dogs diagonally, cube the tofu, and chop aged kimchi roughly.
- Arrange all ingredients in neat sections in a wide shallow pot: kimchi on one side, spam, hot dogs, tofu, and baked beans in sections — this presentation is traditional.
- Mix the gochujang, gochugaru, and minced garlic, then dollop into the center.
- Pour chicken broth around the sides.
- Bring to a vigorous boil over high heat.
- Once bubbling, lay the ramen noodles on top and cook 3 minutes.
- Drape cheese slices over and cover 1 minute until melted.
- Garnish with scallions and serve communally from the pot.
